Google is launching a new experiment, “Career Dreamer,” with the aid of AI, aiming to help job seekers discover and explore career possibilities. Read more about it in today's AI news.
What the Career Dreamer Can Do?

The tool can help you find patterns between your educational background, experiences, interests, and skills to connect with careers that might be suitable for you.
It can also create a career identity statement by choosing your previous and current roles, experiences, skills, education, and interests.
Google notes users can also use it as a guide during a job interview or add it to their CV or resume.
Career Dreamer can display a wide range of careers aligned with one’s background and interests, represented by a visual web of possibilities.

Google notes that job seekers can find it challenging to frame previous experiences into a cohesive narrative - especially among those with a less traditional career path. It’s an area where the tool can help.
The tech giant also believes it can help users better express how their skills align with other jobs.

Career Dreamer allows users to chat with Google’s AI assistant - Gemini - to work on a resume or cover letter and explore other job opportunities.

“We hope Career Dreamer can be helpful to all kinds of job seekers. During its development, we consulted organizations that serve a wide range of individuals, such as students navigating their first careers, recent graduates entering the workforce, adult learners seeking new opportunities, and the military community, including transitioning service members, military spouses, and veterans.” - Google wrote in a blog post.
Where Is Career Dreamer Available?
The AI tool is available as an experiment only in the US.
