Paul Bernard, director of Amazon Alexa Fund, outlined the fund’s evolution, revealing that while its primary initial mission was voice tech, rapid AI developments have created opportunities for them to invest in other areas, such as Smart Agents and AI-enabled hardware.
“While the Alexa Fund’s mission has evolved beyond the initial focus on voice technology over the years, the rapid developments in AI present an inflection point that allows the Fund to embrace new technology while still serving its original mission—improving people's lives through innovation.
